The M50 is a wear-resistant overlay plate engineered for applications where high impact is a dominant wear factor.
M50 is designed for applications where impact wear is a primary concern. Designed with increased toughness, making it better suited for impact-prone environments over pure abrasion zones, M50 wear plates performs reliably in dynamic conditions where conventional CCO plates are prone to cracking or early failure.
It is manufactured using a single-phase chromium carbide alloy with adjusted properties to absorb impact while maintaining a smooth, crack-free surface. The overlay is applied onto a mild steel baseplate with controlled hardness and carbide structure to ensure consistent wear performance.
• Maintains strong wear resistance in high-impact environments
• Smooth, crack-free surface reduces the risk of spalling and unpredictable wear
• Reliable choice for chutes, ROM bins, and mobile plant where impact is a key challenge

Typical Properties
| Overlay Grade | Hardness | Abrasion Resistance | Impact Resistance | Max Operating Temperature | Size | Average coefficient of friction* | Finish |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| M30 | 58-60 HRC | High | Moderate | 450°C | 1000 * 3000mm | 0.195 | Mill or polished |
| M50 | 57-60 HRC | Moderate | High | 450°C | |||
| M70 | 58-62 HRC | Severe | Severe | 600°C |
Note: The reported coefficient of friction reflects the performance of our polished surface plate tested against a stainless steel counterface under GB/T 10006-2021 conditions. Actual values may vary depending on surface condition, contact material, and operating environment.

Our standard thicknesses represent the combinations we manufacture and stock regularly to ensure fast turnaround and reliable availability.
Custom thicknesses can be created by combining various backing plate options, ranging from 6 mm to 15 mm, with overlays that vary from 5 mm to 25 mm.
The maximum total thickness we can manufacture is 40 mm.
